Charleston is considered the Granddaddy of Lindy Hop, so much so that knowing Charleston patterns is essential to being a well-rounded dancer!
Building upon the popularity of our Calvin & Rebecca's recent Charleston workshop, the Doghouse is pleased to bring you a month-long series that will tune & perfect your Charleston with Irina Semenova!
Is your Charleston vocabulary limited to the basics, like the Charleston basic and basic in tandem position? If so, this class is for you! We'll start by reviewing classic moves, such as the airplane and tandem Charleston, and then add a fun twist to these timeless steps. Through small adjustments in footwork and styling, you’ll discover how to transform familiar moves into exciting variations that will take your dancing to the next level.
This class is perfect for those who are already confident and comfortable dancing Lindy Hop socially and includes access to our special live band event on Thu Oct 17!
Thursdays in October in the Doghouse Ballroom
5 sessions: $100 for workshop & dance (Oct 3/10/17/24/31)
Charleston series class from 7 - 8pm
Social Dance from 8 - 11 pm
The workshop includes admittance to our special live band event with the Cosmo Alleycats on Thu Oct 17th!
Note: this will be a progressive class, so no drop-ins will allowed after the first session.
